Behaviorism with CBT = Useful Application

As a behaviorist I am used to creating applied psychology programs.

These can be used at your discretion (if you are a behaviorist) within the CBT application in mainstream healthcare though outside the framework.

I select the top five target behaviours that need addressing, not more (keep stress to a minimum)

During initial probe, develop working knowledge of reinforcement.

Provide homework.

Generalise when re-targeting. Orbit regularly to note new reinforcemnet = marked as progess.

Keep to 5 programs.

'Ten trial' type data not applicable but use discretion when creating your own analysis.

Psychology is wrong sometimes

Is It Offensive To Declare A Social Psychological Claim Or Conclusion Wrong?

By Lee Jussim

Science is about “getting it right” – this is so obvious that it should go without saying. However, there are many obstacles to doing so, some relatively benign (an honestly conducted study produces a quirky result), others less so (p-hacking). The tragic mistake, nearly always made with anorexia and often, emetophobia too, is trying to overly 'control' people who suffer from thes > READ MORE
